Flamborough Head
“A little history first. This wonderful Dutch band have been about since the 1990’s.”
“Time has written on your face”
By now the band is almost as old as the cliffs after which Flamborough Head is named. In the early nineties Koen Roozen and Edo Spanninga founded Flamborough Head. After the demo Bridge To The Promised Land the first studio CD Unspoken Whisper was released in 1998 on Malcolm Parker’s label Cyclops. The debut was well received (“Best New Band 1998” – voted by The Classic Rock Society). In the same period Flamborough Head started organizing the ProgFarm festival at De Harmsdobbe in Bakkeveen; 15 successful editions (& >60 prog bands!) followed between 1997 and 2011. Several studio CDs (& some live albums) followed and performances in the Netherlands, England, France, Belgium, Norway, Poland, Italy, Germany, Mexico, Hungary and Romania. In 2022 the most recent studio CD Jumping The Milestone was released. “This is a most interesting and tasteful album of deep emotion and content, extremely well presented and performed by an excellent and talented band”.
